In the office of Niccolò Antinori, the patriarch was born in 1898, grand promoter of Tuscan wine in the world. Before, during and after the wars, he strengthened the family business by taking it to an international level.

A generation of extraordinary people. Andrei Tchelitcheff was born in Moscow in 1903, he studied biology at the Pasteaur institute in Paris, and was then called to America by Countess De Latour to run the Beaulieu Vineyard. He is the man who left his signature on Napa Valley oenology to this day. On the right is Carlotta Della Gherardesca Antinori, a woman with interpersonal and intellectual qualities out of the ordinary and, among other things, owner of the wonderful estate called Tenuta Belvedere di Bolgheri, which extended from the sea to the mountains. Thanks to her and her sister Clarice, some of Italy's most important wines were born.

Lodovico Antinori was lucky enough to meet Andrei Tchelitcheff and invite him to Italy, where he has never been to before, asking for advice on a new project either in El Paso del Robles in California or in the Bolgheri area. After a month long stay in the area, where Tchelitcheff became friends with Mario Incisia (founder Sassicaia), he gave the following advice to Lodovico: "Stay here young man, you have the Eldorado here", advising him to stay in the Bolgheri area and not to start a project in the United States. He was a fundamental person in the Marchese's life who educated him about the world of wine. Having worked with Tchelitcheff for four years allowed him to launch his career as a winemaker.

Michel Rolland, a Bordeaux oenologist, very attached to his land of Pomerol, was called upon by Lodovico to develop the Masseto project, which is, like Pomerol, a pure Merlot. At first, he came only to do the Masseto project. Then a friendship developed between the two and after that Michel Rolland took charge of Ornellaia. He took his know-how to many places in the world. The relationship with Lodovico began a long time ago, they met in Bordeaux in 1990. Together they created three extraordinary oenological projects*, for challenges, for unexpected successes and for hopes. A collaboration that really worked. *The three projects: Ornellaia, Tenuta di Biserno and the latest Tenuta del Nicchio.

Tibor - Excellent in white wines, created the unforgettable Poggio Alle Gaze, a Sauvignon Blanc unique to Tuscany.

Helena Lindberg, born in Sweden, has a special personality. An oenologist with experience in New Zealand and Australia, she is endowed with great sensitivity and a sense of perfection much appreciated by Lodovico Antinori.
Helena, Lodovico and Michel Rolland are a superbly matched trio.

Beside the wine, horses have been important to create a bond between two generations. This father-daughter bond layed the foundations for the latest wine projects: Lodovico and Sof. Sophia showed great creativity which, combined with her father's experience, is essential for the new beginning: Tenuta del Nicchio.
